Cancer doesn’t stay at home
Jun 05, 2026
Cancer doesn’t stay at home.
It comes to work.
It shows up in:
concentration
energy
caregiving load
appointments
privacy concerns
and the things people do not say out loud
That’s one of the biggest gaps I see in the workplace.
A lot of employers care.
But caring and being prepared are not the same thing.
People affected by cancer do not just need benefits on paper.
They need support that feels private, human, and safe enough to use.
That is the conversation I care about now.
Would your managers know what to say if an employee shared a diagnosis?
Yes or no?
