My diagnosis became my calling

Before CancerWalk existed, I spent decades helping people—over 30 years in mortgage.

But there came a season where I knew I should be backing out.

And I didn’t know what was next.

So I prayed for months:

“God, show me my purpose.”

Then purpose came in a way I never would have chosen: a cancer diagnosis in 2024.

And something in me shifted. A switch flipped.

I understood what I couldn’t understand before.

People on the cancer journey want to talk.

They need to be heard.

They feel alone.

That’s why I built CancerWalk.
