Proof You’re Still You

Cancer tries to shrink life down to one thing:

A diagnosis.

But here’s what I’ve seen again and again.

People are still themselves inside it.

You still have taste.
Opinions.
Feelings.
Preferences.

You still have a personality.

Cancer can trick people into “becoming the strong cancer person.”

But the goal should be to stay

Human.

If today gives you any light at all, take it.
Keep it.
Let it count.

You’re not only enduring.

You’re still living.

And that is worth being proud of.
